A New Look Under the Hood for BLIAUX.com

Our flotilla website has been completely rebuilt. It still looks like the site you know, with the same address, the same red and blue menus and the same Bellingham Bay chart in the background, but everything underneath is new.

The site now works properly on phones and tablets. For the first time, Alert 11 lives on the site as articles you can read, not just as PDFs to download. Every issue since July 2023 has been posted, more than 100 articles in all. You can browse by issue or by topic: patrols and operations, search and rescue, training, vessel exams, awards, Coast Guard news, and a new History section.

The News page always leads with the current issue, with a one-click PDF download and a Subscribe link to get each new issue by email. There's also a Parting Shot gallery under About Us, collecting the closing photo from every issue, and the photos on the home page now show current members in action.

Members can log in with the same Member ID and password they use for AuxDirectory. Logging in opens the Members Only area, including a new Commander's Comments page with every Flotilla Commander's column from Alert 11. Flotilla officers can update the site's pages, officer and contact lists, and articles directly from their browser, and a new issue of Alert 11 can be posted just by uploading its PDF.

If you see something out of date, a broken link, or a photo of yourself you'd rather not have online, please let the Communication Services officer (FSO-CS) know.
